Raja Pervaiz Ashraf (Urdu: راجہ پرویز اشرف; born 26 December, 1950 in Sanghar) is the 17th and current Prime Minister of Pakistan. He took charge of office on 22 June 2012 after the previous prime minister, Yousaf Raza Gillani, was disqualified from the post for contempt of court charges.[1] He belongs to the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and has been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan.
