Richard "Richie" Havens (January 21, 1941 – April 22, 2013) or Richard P. Havens; was an American folk singer and a guitarist who performed at Woodstock 1969. He also performed cover versions of famous popular songs.

Havens was born on January 21, 1941 in Brooklyn, New York City. He died due to a heart attack near Jersey City, New Jersey, April 22, 2013 at 72.[1][2]
