Sabana Larga, Elías Piña

Sabana Larga (in English, "Long Savanna") is a Dominican municipal district of Comendador in the Elías Piña Province. It has a total area of 103.99 km².
Sabana Larga is on the northeast of the municipality of Comendador and is bordered on the north and northeast by the municipality of Bánica, on the west and south by Comendador and on the east by the San Juan province.

In the last national census (2002), the population of Sabana Larga was of 1,966 persons.[1] The population density was 18.9 persons/km².

Sabana Larga was made a municipal district of Comendador by the law 18 of 20 January 2004;[2] a municipal district is a part of a municipality that has its own government.

The main economic activity of the municipality is agriculture.
