Samkranthi

Makar Sankranti, Sankranti or Sankranthi is the main festival of Andhra Pradesh in India. It is the first festival of the year in the Gregorian calendar. This festival must be celebrated by the farmers in Andhra Pradesh. It marks the transition of the sun into Makara rashi (Capricorn) on its path across the sky.
