Sasamuta-jinja (西寒多神社) is a Japanese Shinto shrine in Ōita, Ōita on the island of Kyushu.[1]

Sasamuta was the chief Shinto shrine (ichinomiya) of the old Bungo Province. It serves today as one of the ichinomiya of Oita Prefecture. [2] This place is special to the kami named Amaterasu oomikami (天照皇大御神)[1]
