The Scissor-tailed Hummingbird (Hylonympha macrocerca) is a species of hummingbird. It is found only in Venezuela. Its habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. It is threatened by habitat loss. It was first listed as a Vulnerable species by the IUCN. But new research has shown it to be rarer than it was thought. Because of this, it was uplisted to "Endangered status" in 2008.
