Sleet

Sleet is a term for ice pellets that is used in the United States and Canada. Ice pellets are a type of frozen precipitation. They are balls of ice. Ice pellets are usually smaller than hailstones.[1][2] Sometimes, ice pellets bounce when they hit the ground.
