Richard Walters (born 14 January 1965), known by his stage name, Slick Rick, is an British rapper from a Jamaican family. He was also known by the names MC Ricky D and Rick the Ruler. He is also known for wearing an eye patch when performing after he was blinded in his right eye from broken glass as an infant. He burst onto the rap scene in Doug E. Fresh's Get Fresh Crew where he went by the stage name, MC Ricky D.
