Sól (Old Norse "Sun") is the a figure in Germanic mythology. She is the Sun personified. In Norse mythology, Sól is described in the Poetic Edda, written in the 13th century from earlier sources, and the Prose Edda, written in the 13th century by Snorri Sturluson.
