Sophie Gengembre Anderson

Sophie Gengembre Anderson (1823 – 10 March 1903)[1] was a French-born British artist. She created many paintings of children and women. Her work Elaine was the first public collection of a female artist.

Anderson also painted No Walk Today and many other paintings.

She was born in Paris, France. She died in Falmouth, England.
