Spring wheat is a type of wheat. It grows in the spring. It is harvested in late summer or early autumn. In colder regions (higher latitudes), seeds can only be sown after winter is over. It contributes to 5% to 8% of the U.S wheat production. Spring wheat is normally planted in the spring and come to flower and produce grain before the end of the growing season.
