The only reason to have an article about the age of consent in the USA would be to write the laws in the states here. If we won't do this it should be deleted or merged with the main age of consent article?--RJR3333 (talk) 11:53, 15 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I created this article but since the parts about individual state laws were removed and the sovereign states determine the laws I don't see any utility to it anymore that's why I advocate abolishing it. --RJR3333 (talk) 17:04, 15 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article cites both as being the federal age of consent. Which is it?
