Before you edit this page, please notice that this page is called Art History. It is not called History of Art. That is a different subject.
- "Art history" is the study of art. This page is about how art is studied and who studied it. It is not about different styles and periods.
- "History of art" is about different styles and periods. A page called "History of art" starts with Pre-historic art and goes through Egyptians, Romans, Chinese, Indians, Mayans, etc etc all the way to the Impressionists, the Cubists, and so on. Please don't put that stuff on this page.
This page needs to be expanded with information about writers like Violet le Duc, Bernard Berenson, Kenneth Clarke and Helen Gardner.
