it's an endemic problem with "simple", when you strain yourself to use "simple language", you will automatically imagine you are talking to a small child or a retarded person and dumb down content as well. I never understood the point, is this a project for children, in which case there is hardly any need for an article on BEC to begin with, or is it for adults learing English, in which case it will be fine to use latinisms and other learned words which are used internationally, you just need to avoid colloquialisms and idiomatic constructions. --Dbachmann (talk) 20:40, 15 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ice is not slippery[change source]
