We'll need to look at the following:

  • Braille is not the only writing system (?) the blind use, can we at least mention other such systems
  • Braille is an alphabetic script; Is braille also used for languages that do not use alphabetic writing systems, like Chinese? - If so, how would it be different?
  • learning/teaching braille (inspire yourself from the Braille literacy section on EnWP)
  • Braille can encode 64 characters. Chinese has many more, how is this problem solved?
  • We don't need the whole alphabet in the article, can we extract it to some subpage (or at least put it into a collapsible box)?

I think not all these things are possible to do for GA, we should probably agree on what we want for GA. These are of course just general comments.--Eptalon (talk) 11:51, 5 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

More things:
  • There is an extension of Braille so more characters can be made. It uses 2x4 dots instead of 2x3; dot 7 is below dot 3, dot 8 below dot 6
  • Mathematics:
    is written as:
This makes it harder to see that the expression can be simplified (by dividing everything by 2)
  • Writing music is similarly difficult.
Another problem is that the English language article does not cover such things.--Eptalon (talk) 15:06, 5 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
