Wikipedia guideline on articles about transgender people[change source]

For easy reference, here is a link to Wikipedia's guideline on how to refer to transgender people: en:MOS:IDENTITY. It states:

Any person whose gender might be questioned should be referred to by the pronouns, possessive adjectives, and gendered nouns (for example "man/woman", "waiter/waitress", "chairman/chairwoman") that reflect that person's latest expressed gender self-identification. This applies in references to any phase of that person's life, unless the subject has indicated a preference otherwise. Direct quotations may need to be handled as exceptions (in some cases adjusting the portion used may reduce apparent contradictions, and "[sic]" may be used where necessary).

@Auntof6: I haven't taken a look at the other pages that are similar (regarding this policy), but should there be an updated image of this person or does it normally not change? Tropicalkitty (talk) 02:49, 6 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
We could update the image if/when there's a more recent one on Commons, but it's not required. Enwiki currently uses the same image we have. I just checked Commons and it doesn't have an image of Jenner in her female appearance. The images from Vanity Fair are undoubtedly copyrighted, so we can't use those. --Auntof6 (talk) 03:31, 6 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
