bits versus bytes[change source]

The section Memory says, "This is the number of different bytes that can be selected using a 32-bit address (each bit can have two values—0 and 1—and 232 bytes is 4 GB)." I think they mean gigabits, not gigabytes, because (2^32) bits * (1 gigabit / (2^30 bits)) = 4 gigabits, which is equal to half a gigabyte. Steven.pfeiffer2 (talk) 18:29, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
