But language should not be simplified to the point of making inaccurate statements. Changes need to be carefully thought about; here too many changes were made too quickly, I feel. I have found some solutions, however, and the page does read better.

We (collectively) need to consider the effect on Simple if its science pages get a reputation for playing fast and loose with the science. You will never be able to remove the need for some science terms without doing damage to the content. We steer a fragile boat between Scylla and Charybdis. I need to make myself clearer. What I trying to say is this:

If a scientific term is translated into Simple language, the meaning of the term must be kept in the translation. If that is not possible, then a footnote could give an approximate meaning. If the editior does not fully understand the term, it should not be deleted or translated; it should be flagged, so that another editor with technical knowledge can make a change. It may be more helpful to flag a term, a sentence, or a section than to flag a whole article, unless it really deserves it. That way scarce time is best used. IMHO. "Important"[change source]

The lede on this article states both that cephalopods are important class, and that two taxa in cephalapods are important. What makes these things important?
