Not a stub[change source]

I deleted the stub because the article gives all basic facts about CC. We do the simple-english readers a favour with short articles. --84.131.180.142 19:42, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Arrest and jailing[change source]

Why did Columbus get in trouble with the law? 99.40.197.2 (talk) 02:19, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

According to his article on (regular) English Wikipedia, he treated people on the island of Hispaniola very poorly--which is why he was brought to trial--so that the testimonies of his accusers could be heard. I hope this helps. Whether or not this needs to be mentioned in the Simple English version of this article, is a matter of who can do a better job than me of summarizing the reason behind his arrest--which shouldn't be hard at all--I just put in a couple of lines that probably wouldn't fit the prose of the article very good. According to stories, people say he treated the other people on the Island very poorly and sold young girls into slavery— Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.67.89.186 (talkcontribs) 19:58, 2 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Motivation[change source]

A section on his motivation would be relevant if there were reliable sources to support it. Otherwise not. Macdonald-ross (talk) 17:05, 24 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
