"Red, yellow and blue", as quoted in the article, are not the "base" colors in general: these colors refer to the RYB color model ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RYB_color_model ) quote: It is thus well-established as the norm in art, despite its inaccuracies, which are generally either overlooked because of its popularity or simply unnoticed.

Last paragraph[change source]

The last paragraph of the article seems suspicious, someone clarify. Minor Contributer (talk) 10:12, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox[change source]

Articles on colors usually have inboxes. However, they often don't use the same color model. Sometimes the values show the web color, sometimes they show the color wheel variation. Shouldn't this be unified? --2.245.111.186 (talk) 02:34, 8 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

No Colour[change source]

The example of no colour seems a bit odd?

"When something has no colour, it is transparent. An example is air."

Air is mostly nothing, so I am not sure one can attribute anything to nothing.

I suggest perhaps clear glass would be a better example, since in its "theoretical pure form" it would neither reflect nor absorb visible light.

My first "talk" suggestion, so please excuse me if have done something incorrectly.
