Litany of comments[change source]

  • alternating is not simple. - done.
  • intervening is not simple. - done.
  • You should at least once link molecular or molecule. At best use the first one you can find. - done.
  • neighboring is not simple. Something with "Next to" or so would be better. -link
  • occupies is not really simple. - "fills"
  • lone – a typo? - can't find
  • The presence of a nitrogen in the ring or groups α to the ring like a carbonyl group (C=O), an imine group (C=N), a vinyl group (C=C), or an anion will also be a source of pi orbitals needed for conjugation. is too long. - fixed.
  • Why do you link nitrogen, but oxygen? - done
  • aromatic, non-aromatic or anti-aromatic. those should all be linked, even if red-linked. - done
  • exhibit is not simple. - done
  • possesses is not simple. - done
  • carbon should be linked. - done
  • The molecule can be still considered conjugated is passive language. Try to use active voice. - done
  • electron could use a link. - done
  • transitions is not simple. - done
  • even kind and odd kind are not simple. - done
  • measure should be linked. - done
  • excitations is not simple. - done
  • They also accept or donate electrons easily. Phthalocyanines, which, like Phthalo Blue and Phthalo Green, often contain a transition metal ion, exchange an electron with the complexed transition metal ion that easily changes its oxidation state. is too long. - fixed
  • biological systems should be linked. - done
  • metallic ions needs a link. - done
  • our bodies is simple, but we should avoid things like "you", "we", "our", etc. - fixed, I agree.
  • iron needs a link. - done
  • to be colored is passive. Better to use active voice. - fixed
  • are found passive voice again. - fixed

That's it. Please work on my litany above. I think it can still be kept in main space for now. Have fun working on it. -Barras (talk) 08:40, 29 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is not "simple English".[change source]

I consulted the Conjugated system article in Wikipedia but it was too technical so I thought, "Fuck this" and came to Simple Wikipedia. The first sentence here, defining a conjugated system, is the same as at Wikipedia: "a conjugated system is a system of connected p-orbitals with delocalized electrons". I am none the wiser. What does it mean in simple English? This article needs to be translated properly. O'Dea (talk) 02:19, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
