Talk:God in Christianity

I'm pretty sure God is never called "Leroi" in the Bible. Perhaps you're thinking of Elohim, but that's usually translated simply "God" in English Bibles, while "Yahweh" is usually translated LORD. Also, considering this article is "God in Christianity", the article is entirely focused on the Old Testament, with no discussion of the New Testament's impression of God. Perhaps by "Leroi" is meant "le roi" as in French for "the king"; I'm pretty sure the idea of God as King is pretty biblical, although not as a personal name. Anyway, this page obviously need a tonne of work. Belegdal (talk) 15:59, 30 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think it would be okay to simply go with Yahweh (which is also often seen as YWHW) and omit Le Roi. If we're going to go with Le Roi, we might as well go with every metaphor used to describe God in the Bible (i.e. God as a consuming fire). Kansan (talk) 16:07, 30 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
