This is WRONG. Alphabets were NOT invented in Ancient Egypt, rather the first alphabet, or Cuneiform, was the first of the alphabets, followed by Phoenician, followed by Hieroglyphics, followed by Greek, followed by Latin alphabets. Hieroglyphics may be popularly known as the oldest alphabet because they were old and well-heard of, but Sumer of Mesopotamia started the first alphabet.
