Over-dramatized Fact[change source]

The English wikipedia says "the first iron bridge of its kind in the world".. Not first bridge ever, that was made up of iron!!! Also you never know if even that statement in english wikipedia is also reliable as there is no citation for that fact.. but at least dont make it further drammatic!!!--Dr.saptarshi (talk) 17:29, 25 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please see UNESCO World Heritage Site overview here; and see this sentence:
"The bridge at Ironbridge, the world's first bridge constructed of iron, had a considerable influence on developments in the fields of technology and architecture."
In response to your comment, please notice that an inline citation has been added to the sentence which caught your attention. --Horeki (talk) 17:48, 25 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
OK, the unseco does say that. But probably it would sound wiser and more convincing if you clarify a bit more eg something like "entirely of cast iron". Human beings have been using iron for many thousand years and it is difficult to disprove if wrought iron ribs or some other iron component were used in previous bridges. So we better be judicious in choosing the right description. --Dr.saptarshi (talk) 03:34, 26 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
