List of U.S. states by area[change source]

http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._states_by_area and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._states_by_area both purport to rank states by area but the some of the numbers are different. Why aren't they the same?

Our numbers come from the 2000 U.S. census while English Wikipedia uses the 2010 census. Please be bold and help us change the information for the better. Griffinofwales (talk) 01:48, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
