what breed is a cat with more then 5 toes on the front paw (paw =1) (165.139.0.11 19:32, 9 October 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Those cats are called polydactyl cats. They actually aren't a specific breed. It is a mutation which can occur in any kind of cats. This includes the big cats like tigers and lions. I don't know of any cat breed defined by having more toes than normal, though. Badbilltucker 16:19, 29 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Is "felids" a typo or is it some word I don't know? Lilsaalex 20:29, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It is a real word. It means "a member of family Felidae" - lions, tigers, house cats. Not exactly a common word though, and certainly not simple. -- Creol(talk) 20:35, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Many Breeds Missing[change source]

I have noticed that there are many breeds missing. I would be more than happy to add them myself along with the relevant information, unless there is some reason they aren't there. Would it be best to only include cats recognised by the CFA as it's international and also the world's largest cat fancier's association, or other breeds recognised only by smaller and/or national associations too? I don't believe that there is any reason why information is missing so if you think there is information missing feel free to add it . It might by a good idea to ad a reference as well.--Mr Wiki Pro (talk) 21:56, 20 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
