Things we don't need[change source]

Terms which are extremely rare. Long passages in foreign languages. Also, I doubt very much the sense of carrying terms for Japanese theatre, which might be hived off to a page on Japanese theatre. Thought is needed about what our kind of readers might find helpful. Macdonald-ross (talk) 08:39, 29 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Most of these are literary terms that students taking American or English English in high schools, middle schools or college would be likely to be studying in class work. In my opinion this is exactly the readers that we are writing this encyclopedia for. A few terms may be more rare than others. The point is to have a list with brief explanations, and also links to articles here to further explain some of the more common terms in more depth.
"There are dictionaries and companions to English literature which might be helpful."
Yes those are two good items to help, and so is a comprehensive list of literary terms with links to other articles for more information about them. ciao!!! Carriearchdale (talk) 11:01, 29 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
