This type of mummification sounds like the Ancient Egyptian way to make mummies. There are also natural mummies made in bogs and very cold places.Coffsneeze 19:07, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes,of course. Well known examples are the Tollund Man (in EnWP) and Ötzi the Iceman (in EnWP). The Tollund Man is from a bog; Ötzi is from a glacier --Eptalon 22:08, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Tollund man's mummification is natural. But his death isn't. He could have been a criminal.Coffsneeze 15:33, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I know. He had a noose around his neck. Most Bog body (in EnWP) did not die naturally. The Celts had human sacrifice. Most bog bodies found were killed in a brutal way (either for a crime, or as a ritual). Most were members of the upper class. Hair samples show good nutrition. This article is about mummification; even Tutankamun (in EnWP) may have died violently. It has been speculated that he was murdered. Though he most likely died because he violently broke his leg (riding accident), and the wound got infected. --Eptalon 16:51, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
