Changes to equation

I have rewritten the equation using standard notation. There is no need to "dumb down" the symbolic representation. The article should be targeted at readers who have sufficient scientific background to understand the concepts. If their mother tongue is English, they should be reading the English Wikipedia, if they are here because they only have a basic understanding of English, then we should assume that they understand the internationally-consistent symbols that comply with ISO 80000.
