I don't think that this article is neutral because it only gives us the Western Definition of punishment. I really feel that I have to make this article better. Maybe include:

Different styles of punishment

Different opinions toward punishment, (+ and -)

Understandings of punishment across the world.

Punishment can't be completely bad in all cultures, can it? Frogger48 (talk) 21:52, 22 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I know, punishment means doing something bad to someone (a person, animal, country, whatever) because of something they did wrong. If there is a different definition, please share it here so we can understand your concern. --Auntof6 (talk) 23:02, 22 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Do different cultures have different ways of punishing people or different ideas on what punishment is? Frogger48 (talk) 04:04, 23 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Of course they do. Some countries have capital punishment (the death penalty) and some do not. Some countries have corporal punishment and some do not. Keep in mind that this article is about punishment in general, not just punishment that a government might do. Try looking in Category:Punishments for more information. --Auntof6 (talk) 05:10, 23 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

What about different opinions about punishment (Positive and Negative)? Frogger48 (talk) 16:38, 23 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I don't understand what you're asking. --Auntof6 (talk) 17:51, 23 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I mean, do some people think that punishment is good for certain reasons while other people think that punishment is bad for other reasons? Frogger48 (talk) 22:38, 23 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Probably. Different people have different opinions about all kinds of things. --Auntof6 (talk) 23:05, 23 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

How can I list those different opinions on this Article? Frogger48 (talk) 23:36, 23 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Again, I'm not sure I understand what you're asking. You've shown that you know how to add information to articles, so I don't know why you don't know how to do it here. Can you be very, very specific about what you want to know? --Auntof6 (talk) 00:43, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
You do that by adding those different opinions to the article. This is an encyclopedia which anyone can edit. You just need to do some research first, then based on what you have learnt, write that into the article. Chenzw  Talk  01:51, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
