Gregorian date of Vaisakhi[change source]

There is conflicting information about the date. ENWP flat out says it is on April 13 (without any citation). Another source say 13 or 14. SikhiWiki says the 14th. vaiskhi.com says " Vaisakhi 2011 is on 14 April 2011 for Sikhs and 12 April 2011 for Hindus." I don't know how to sort out the date.--The Three Headed Knight (talk) 06:12, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It depends on which calendar is being used. Even Indian "government officials seem to largely ignore the New Year's Day of this calendar in favour of the religious calendar". Various Gurdwara have not accepted the same Sikh religious calendar, so the a festival can be celebrated on different dates depending upon local custom. Bärliner 13:15, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
