I think this article means the the group who destroyed Rome destroyed in the year 455 CE. Correct the article if I'm wrong. --Umalee 23:06, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, the Vandals did sack Rome. This word is derived from the fact that the Vandals defaced and, for lack of a better word, vandalized much of Rome. PullToOpenTalk 23:15, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Website damage[change source]

The article states that website damage is an example of vandalism. It is true that "vandalism" is a term on Wikimedia sites, but from a legal perspective, is defacing a website considered vandalism as well as hacking? Also, the article states that vandalizing a website is almost always a crime. That could be somewhat misleading in light of the fact that vandalism on, say, Wikipedia would, in most cases, probably not be a crime. Kansan (talk) 18:39, 20 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
