More than one person?[change source]

Nov 15, 2004: The article says: "Most historians think that William Shakespeare was one person". I think this might be confusing for people who are learning English.

Also the article seems to have a bias against the opinion that he is not one person. BrokenSegue

RESPONSE: Yes, but there are a number of different language options on the left hand menu, so I hardly think this is an issue. As for the biasness of the article, this is completely in the eye of the viewer to believe whether this is true or not.

i think that it is up to the reader to decide if there was more than one peron

Weasel words[change source]

This is my first time browsing the Simple English Wikipedia, but doesn't it have the same referencing standards as the others? How is the sentence "Many people consider him to be the greatest English writer of all time and one of the greatest in the world." worthy of inclusion in any encyclopedia? --121.216.74.51 (talk) 08:02, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Standard Wikipedia prominently notes that Shakespeare is "widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language and the world's preeminent dramatist." It would be disingenuous to exclude a statement of his fame and literary esteem. --Hwwood2010 (talk) 23:01, 23 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not famous for 400 years?[change source]

There was a statement in here that said that he did not become famous for 400 years. This would mean that his plays would not have become well known until the 1990s at the earliest. This is obviously untrue (and I removed it), but did his plays take time to become well known in the literary world? I could not find anything to this effect.
