Template:Extra track listing/doc

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Extra track listings may be added to {{Infobox song}}. It is used to display the preceding and succeeding track names and numbers on the album or EP on which the song originally appears. This template should not be used if there is a navigation template or navbox at the bottom of the article which already lists the songs. For other options, please see Track listing examples.

Usage[change source]

This template is used with the |misc= parameter of the infobox template. It should not be used on its own. If this template is substituted, it will return a cleaned-up copy of itself with unnecessary parameters removed and deprecated parameters replaced. Parameter indentation will also automatically be fixed.

album
Enter the name of the album or EP to produce the header. It will be generated using italics followed by "track listing"; for example, That Album track listing or What EP track listing.
type
Enter the same type specified in the {{Infobox song}} parameter |type=; |type=song generates a light blue background, |type=single a khaki.
prev_track
Enter the name of the previous track. Quote marks will be added automatically. If it has a WP article, add a link. Leave this blank if the current track is the first track.
track
Enter the name of the current or article track; quotes and bold will be added automatically. This is not wikilinked, since it is the subject of the article.
track_no
Add the number of the current track, as it appears on the album or EP.
next_track
Enter the name of the next track. Quote marks will be added automatically. If it has a article, add a link. If the current track is the last track, leave this blank.
Notes
This template is for use in the |misc= field. It will not work in |tracks=.
