Usage

This template has a large number of parameters. Please note that parameter names are case-sensitive.

Only one parameter is required:

• name - The name that will appear as the title of the infobox.

The remaining parameters are as follows (in the order that they will appear in the template output):

• image - The filename for the infobox image.
• imagealt - Alternative text for image.
• imagesize - The size (width) of the images in pixels (as in imagesize=200). If |imagesize= is present, but blank the image will appear full size; but if this parameter is omitted entirely, the default size is 229 pixels wide.
• caption - The image caption that will be displayed.
• interiorimage - The filename for the interior image.
• interiorimagealt - Alternative text for interiorimage.
• interiorcaption - The second image caption that will be displayed.
• type - The type of rolling stock, i.e. Deep-level tube or Sub-surface. This will automatically link to London Underground rolling stock.
• lines - The lines on which the rolling stock operated, including the years in service separated by an en dash (e.g. 1964–1976).
• manufacturer - The vehicles’ manufacturer.
• factory - The factory at which the vehicles were built (if manufacturer had more than one factory).
• family - The type or range of manufacturer’s vehicles that the vehicles come from (e.g. Movia).
• replaced - The rolling stock replaced by this rolling stock.
• yearconstruction - The dates that the rolling stock was under construction, separated by an en dash (e.g. 1964–1976).
• yearservice - The date that the rolling stock first entered service.
• refurbishment - The dates that the rolling stock was refurbished, separated by an en dash (e.g. 1964–1976).
• yearscrapped - The dates that the rolling stock was scrapped, separated by an en dash (e.g. 1964–1976).
• numberconstruction - The quantity of vehicles under construction.
• numberbuilt - The quantity of vehicles manufactured.
• numberservice - The quantity of vehicles in service.
• numberpreserved - The quantity of vehicles preserved.
• numberscrapped - The quantity of vehicles scrapped.
• formation - The formation of the rolling stock.
• fleetnumbers - The fleet numbers of the vehicles.
• capacity - The capacity of the vehicles.
• depots - The maintenance depots to which the vehicles were assigned.

• carbody - The type of carbody construction used (e.g. spotwelded stainless steel).
• trainlength - The total length of the train or unit.
• carlength - The length of each vehicles (only those that differ). Please use {{convert}}.
• width - The width of each vehicles – please use {{convert}}.
• height - The height of each vehicles – please use {{convert}}.
• floorheight - The height of the vehicles’ floor above the rail.
• doors - The number and type of doors fitted.
• wheeldiameter - The diameter of the wheels (can be expressed new/worn)
• wheelbase - The wheelbase of the train. State whether train, vehicle, bogie (truck), or bogie centers.
• maxspeed - The maximum permitted speed of the vehicles – please use {{convert}}.
• weight - The weight of the vehicles – please use {{convert}}.
• axleload - The maximum axle load of the rail vehicle(s).
• traction - The traction system of the vehicles.
• acceleration - The acceleration rate of the vehicles.
• deceleration - The deceleration rate of the vehicles.
• hvac - The type of train heating, ventilation and air conditioning fitted, if any.
• electricsystem - The voltage of the power supply. Automatically includes Fourth rail.
• uicclass - The UIC classification of powered/unpowered axles
• aarwheels - The AAR wheel arrangement of powered cars.
• bogies - The type of bogies or trucks fitted, if known.
• brakes - The type of train brakes fitted. (e.g. Air, Rheostatic).
• safety - The type(s) of safety systems fitted.
• coupling - The type of vehicle couplings used,
• notes - Notes, miscellany, sources etc
