Protected[change source]

This page is fully protected. Do not request unprotection until you resolve the dispute. Jon@talk:~$ 16:23, 10 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Why was it fully protected under Goblin's revision? Per WP:BRD, it should have been protected as mine. Purplebackpack89≈≈≈≈ 17:53, 10 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Per what? No. Pages are protected in whatever version they are found in. BRD does not dictate what version is the correct version. I won't get pulled into whatever dispute this is. There is no correct version. Jon@talk:~$ 20:10, 10 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Problem with queue #2[change source]

I have some problems with the present queue 2. Item wigger has not been properly discussed, and was promoted far too quickly. The page is absolutely full of red links, and is an anti-advertisement for our wiki. I would have commented strongly against it if there had been time. Also, the photo selected (from item Bear (gay slang) is utterly revolting, and if I think that, others surely will. A different choice should be made. I have never before complained about a queue set, but I do about this one. Macdonald-ross (talk) 07:30, 3 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I concur. It would be good if another administrator can look at it because I have half a mind to empty the entire queue and start over. I would like to mention further that the hooks have all been promoted to the queue by the nominator himself, and that some of these promoted hooks seem to be hooks that I have never seen on T:TDYK at all. I appreciate the enthusiasm in getting DYK up, but the promotion of hooks without discussion is something that I am against, and I don't think I am willing to accept en:WP:SILENCE as an argument. Agree. Suggest clearing moving those hooks that were queued by the nominator himself back to the discussion page. There was a lot of nominations, which is great, but I've only had the time to comment on one or two. There's no time limit, though. Osiris (talk) 08:03, 3 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I would prefer promotions to be made by admins, and I think no contributor should promote his own work. An exception might be made if items had been fully supported by others, but that was not the case here. Macdonald-ross (talk) 09:03, 3 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
