Created[change source]

The Template:Convert/numdisp was added, from English Wikipedia, on 18 October 2009, to show fractions in numbers, such as "23+7/8" shown as 23+78. It was changed, later, to use other ideas from English Wikpedia. -Wikid77 17:37, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fix for negative sign as &minus[change source]

{{editprotected}} The Template:Convert/numdisp needs to be updated from Template:Numdisp/sandbox (the /sandbox version) to show the full Unicode minus sign (&minus: −) for all negative numbers. Previously, any negative numbers without fractions had been shown with a leading hyphen ("-"), while only fractions would show the wider &minus symbol.

Examples:

  • {{numdisp|-60-7/8}} → −6078
  • {{numdisp|-60.000}} → −60.000
  • {{numdisp|-45-73/100}} → −4573100
  • {{numdisp|-1-22/33}} → −12233
  • {{numdisp|-123}} → −123

The /sandbox version uses &minus for all negative numbers:

  • {{numdisp/sandbox|-60-7/8}} → −6078
  • {{numdisp/sandbox|-60.000}} → −60.000
  • {{numdisp/sandbox|-123}} → −123

The /sandbox version is compatible with the current template version on English Wikipedia (as w:Template:Convert/numdisp). -Wikid77 (talk) 15:56, 19 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
