Current Source:

<includeonly>{{#if:{}||<span style="font-size: 120%; font-weight: bold; color: red;">ERROR:</span> Please enter the username part when using the Talkback template. i.e. talkback<div style="display: none;">}}</includeonly> <div class="usermessage" style="background-color: #BBDDFF; border-color: RoyalBlue;"> Hello, BASEPAGENAME. {{#if:{}|You have Talk:Example}}}{{#if:{}|#{}}}|new messages on Talk:Example}}}.|You have Example}}}{{#if:{}|#{}}}|new messages at Example}}}|{}'s talk page.}}<br /><span class="plainlinks" style="font-size: 80%; font-weight: normal;">You may [ take off this notice] at any time by getting rid of the the Talkback or newmessages template.</span></div>{{#if:{}||</div>}}<noinclude>Documentation</noinclude>

I would suggest to change it to:

<includeonly>{{#if:{}||<span style="font-size: 120%; font-weight: bold; color: red;">ERROR:</span> Please enter the username part when using the Talkback template. i.e. talkback<div style="display: none;">}}</includeonly> <div class="usermessage" style="background-color: #BBDDFF; border-color: RoyalBlue;"> Hello, BASEPAGENAME. {{#if:{}|You have Talk:Example}}}{{#if:{}|#{}}}|new messages on Talk:Example}}}.|You have Example}}}{{#if:{}|#{}}}|new messages at Example}}}|{}'s talk page.}}<br /><span class="plainlinks" style="font-size: 80%; font-weight: normal;">{{#if:{}|Message added {}.&#_32;}}You may [ take off this notice] at any time by getting rid of the the Talkback or newmessages template.</span></div>{{#if:{}||</div>}}<noinclude>Documentation</noinclude>

For the following purposes:

 • The Image will link to the talk page and not to its description page.
 • We can add signature too.

Please replace &#_32; to &#_32; without the underscore.

These features can be found in enwiki's talkback. --Srinivas 15:21, 7 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

 Done I hope it works. Barras (talk) 17:37, 7 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry to say but the editor hasn't done the job properly. The editor has no done the job properly. Please revert the previous edit by Barras and add the code again, please remove underscore in &#_32;. I repeat again, please remove underscore in &#_32;. The user has made some mistake while inserting the code! --Srinivas 10:35, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I undid my change. If you don't post the correct source without underscore, so I don't change it. Barras (talk) 12:32, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
If I insert &#_32; without underscore, it will not show up, even in pre, but it will show up as a space. You will have to see the source for the code. --Srinivas 12:42, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Changes During Unprotection[change source]

I had requested Barras to unprotect this template so that I can edit the template and do changes to it. I had requested editprotected above but Barras failed to do the edit successfully and thus he unprotected it. The changes made by me during the unprotection are as follows:

 • Enabled "ts" parameter.
 • Changed the link of the image to the link of the talk page.
 • Instead of making tp=1 and specifying complete name of the talk page in parameter 1, made tp as the talk page link in case of non-user talk pages. For user talk pages, we can use parameter 1 only.

If I have made a mistake doing so, please notify me. --Srinivas 13:20, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
