Terrestrial might mean:
- In astronomy it means a rocky planet like the Earth, as opposed to a gas giant like Jupiter. Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars are the terrestrial planets.
- In ecology it means an area of land, as in terrestrial ecosystem.
- In zoology, it means land animals as opposed to aquatic animals, and sometimes land animals as opposed to flying animals.
- In botany: growing in the soil, not (for example) epiphytic.
