A co-operative supermarket

The Co-operative Food, sometimes simply known as the Co-op, is a consumer co-operative supermarket in the United Kingdom, which is part of the Socialist-style Co-operative Group—a group where members and all staff have an equal say in how things are run. Members also receive a percent of the company's earnings each year.

The Co-operative Group purchased Somerfield in early 2009.[1]
