The Death of General Wolfe

The Death of General Wolfe is a painting by Anglo-American artist Benjamin West.[1]

The painting shows the death of British General James Wolfe during the Battle of Quebec of the Seven Years' War in 1759. The painting is an oil on canvas of the Age of Enlightenment. West made the painting in 1770.[1] It is now in the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa.[2]
