The Idler Wheel... is an album by Fiona Apple that was released in 2012. Its full name is The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than the Driver of the Screw and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do. Two singles were released from it. It was nominated at the 2013 Grammy Awards for Best Alternative Album. The album was named the best album of 2012 by Time Magazine, Stereogum, Spinner, and NPR Music's Fresh Air. The album got good reviews. Pitchfork gave it a score of 9.0.
