Tunceli

Tunceli is a province in the eastern part of Turkey. The province was named Dersim before 1936. The word Dersim means silver door in the Kurdish language. Tunceli has one of the highest literacy rates in Turkey.[needs proving] In 1979 and 1980, Tunceli has the highest number of students entering to universities.[needs proving] However, after the high schools were converted to military bases, Tunceli could not get this achievement again.[needs proving]
