The University of North Carolina Wilmington is a public, coeducational university in Wilmington, North Carolina. The university has about 16,000 students. It was founded in 1947. The current chancellor of the university is Aswani K. Volety.

The athletics teams of the university are called the Seahawks. They have 19 varsity teams and they compete in the Coastal Athletic Association.
