Userboxes have caused major problems and conflicts on English Wikipedia, which have even brought comments by Jimbo Wales. Because we do not wish to have the same problems here at Simple English Wikipedia, we have decided to only allow userboxes in the user: namespace. The only exceptions to this rule are Babelboxes: boxes describing the language(s) a user speaks, which will be allowed in the template: namespace, etc.
