As of 17:44, Thursday, April 25, 2024 (UTC), Simple English Wikipedia has 250,853 articles, which roughly amounts to 58,197,896 words, or 407,385,272 characters, across the entire project.
For the purpose of comparison, suppose these articles were put into print. A page of this encyclopedia would measure 25 cm in height; a volume would be 4 cm thick and consist of 100 page leaves, with two columns each on both sides, and 50 lines per column. Each line would consist of 42 characters each.
Therefore, one print volume of Simple English Wikipedia would have 840,000 characters, or 120,000 words, or 517.241 articles.
