Articles about albums[change source]

Hello, and thanks for creating articles about albums here. You might not have known, but album titles should be formatted with italics. To do this in the text, put two apostrophes before the name of the album and two more after the name, like this:

''My Album Title''

Then, to get the title at the top of the page to display in italics, you can put this at the top:

{{italictitle}}

It would be very helpful if you would use this formatting when you create articles about albums. As an example of these and other changes that needed to be made, you can look at this change. Feel free to ask any questions you have about this. Thanks! --Auntof6 (talk) 06:10, 24 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Grammar problems in the articles you create about albums[change source]

We appreciate you creating articles about albums. However, the articles you create have grammar errors in them. I'll use Trilogy (album) to explain what the problems are. Here is the entire article as you wrote it, followed by corrected text:

Your version:

Trilogy is the third studio album by Emerson, Lake & Palmer. The album was released on July 6, 1972. It was first studio album of new material in 1 year again. It was third studio album of Atlantic Records.

Corrected version: words added are underlined, words removed are struck out

Trilogy is the third studio album by Emerson, Lake & Palmer. The album was released on July 6, 1972. It was the group's first studio album of new material in 1 year again. It was their third studio album of with Atlantic Records.

Please look at this and let me know if you have any questions. Please don't create any more album articles until you understand these problems. It's very important that we use correct grammar here because people who don't know English very well have a harder time understanding incorrect language. If you create more articles, please be sure that they don't have these problems, and that you use the title formatting that was described above. Thanks. --Auntof6 (talk) 05:25, 28 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

December 2014[change source]

Welcome to Wikipedia. You might not have done it on purpose, but your recent change removed helpful information from Wikipedia. We ask that you do not remove things from pages, as you did to "Jethro Tull (band)", without giving a good reason in the change summary. If it was a mistake, do not worry. The part of the article you removed has been put back. If you want to try things out, please use the sandbox. If you would like to learn how to help Wikipedia, please see the welcome page. Thank you. If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the change, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Please do not add wrong information into articles, as you did to The Rolling Stones. Your changes appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please provide a source for your information or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Auntof6 (talk) 01:53, 17 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from changing Wikipedia for 72 hours for vandalism.

Once the block has ended you can make helpful changes. Please read Wikipedia's blocking policy and remember that adding spam, making changes that do not have a neutral point of view, making personal attacks on others, not respecting other people's privacy, and vandalizing pages are not allowed. If you do any of these things, you will be blocked again.

If you think this block is unfair, you can ask to be unblocked by adding {{Unblock|your reason here}} below. If you cannot do this or the reason is private please send an e-mail to simple-admins-l@lists.wikimedia.org and an administrator will look at your reason and reply. You may want to read our guide to unblock requests before asking to be unblocked. Auntof6 (talk) 07:00, 30 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
