Welcome

Hello! Thanks for welcome me here! :) I'm from the Dutch Wikipedia. Emmelie 16:23, 23 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bureaucrat

New elections for bureaucrats on simple.wikipedia are going to start. Would you like to give a hand to simple.wikipedia and candidating here? --M7 17:14, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Barnstar

Barnstar Congratulations: You have been given a Barnstar!

Billz, I am happy to give you this Barnstar for working hard for Esperanza and wikipedia. You are great. God Bless.

You deserve this so much.--Sir James Paul 03:41, 17 November 2006 (UTC) Sorry Billz ! I mad a mistake. My apologies.[reply]

SYSOP

Currently I am runing to become a sysop. The main reason why I want to become one is to better help in the war against vandalism, I believe in tougher blocks against vandals and after the 2 time they vandaliz an article I will impose a ban on them. I have a lot of free time so I will be a active sysop. At one point I had a average of 50 edits a day, now I have a average of 30 because I was busy and not able to edit. If you have any questions ask me on my talk page please. to vote go to Wikipedia:Administrators. Have a nice week and god bless.--Sir James Paul 21:05, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

Hey.

I think you're doing a wonderful job.

Welcome back

It's good to have you back. You may not know my name, but I was PullToOpen back in September and was renamed only recently. You missed quite a bit of drama! Cheers, Sean William 02:09, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yup, welcome back Billz. Things have certainly changed here since you left, but its nice to have an admin back on board:) --§ Alastor Moody (T + C) 02:15, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Dunno, but you seem to be getting fans, so... Welcome! --'Choos'nink TALK 02:17, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! It's great to be back. Billz (Talk) 12:27, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RE:Warning

Is it vandalism to you? I thought it was helpful.--'Choos'nink TALK 17:41, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, thanks --'Choos'nink TALK 17:46, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not to be nosy or anything, but I think it was an honest mistake, not vandalism. Isis§(talk) 18:06, 18 June 2007 (UTC) [reply]

Hey

Hey, your back! I am glad to see that your personal troubles have gone down enough for you to come back:) Have a nice week and God bless:)--Sir James Paul, La gloria è a dio 11:05, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much and it's great to be back! Billz (Talk) 13:54, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I made several other changes in that edit. If you didn't like one of them, undo that change, don't just click your rollback button.--Werdan7T @ 18:42, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Warning

Hi Billz. You posted a warning message on my talk page. I couldn't figure out why I got that. You have warned me about "testing" wikipedia, while I cannot figure where I did it. It would be grateful if you guide me, and let me know what exactly you are concerned about. Cheers - Huji reply 20:13, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I saw Huji adding the administrator icon thing on all of our pages, which is the same time he accidentally added the headline text. You kept the admin icon thing, so clearly you didn't think his entire edit was vandalism. None of the other admins had headline text added, so it seems to me he probably just hit the button for headline text and didn't notice. I think it hardly deserves a warning, especially from a user who has only made constructive edits in the past. -  BrownE34  talk  contribs  21:22, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That is not a problem Browne34. An admin may warn me, while I think he shouldn't. As long as we figure out it didn't deserve a warning, I think all of us are wise enough to neglect it.
Billz, I'm sorry for mistakenly adding a header text on your talk page, and for not noticing it myself (cause of I did, I would fix it right away). I just wanted to add the admin tan, which you have kept (and I'm happy about that). Anyways, just to make you sure that I'm not testing things on Simple English wikipedia, I would like to humbly inform you that I am a sysop on Farsi Wikipedia, and also contribute in completin of MediaWiki software every now and then, as much as I can (hence I have a local installation of wiki software, where I do all my vandalism!)
With my best wishes, - Huji reply 21:41, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My Edits to Nancy Drew

My apologies. I wasn't aware of that// — This unsigned comment was added by Liam.gloucester (talk • contribs) .

Bjork

Billz, I really think the page should be located at Björk, as it is on English Wikipedia. Why do you keep deleting it and moving it? I think that most people wanting information on her will type in "Bjork" (since she does not artistically go by her full name). So we should leave that one page as a redirect. Doesn't this seem the most logical to you? · Tygartl1·talk· 21:48, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In all fairness, you didn't really let me finish what I was doing. I am going to move the page back to Björk and I will make absolutely certain that the redirects work just fine, I promise :-) Thanks! · Tygartl1·talk· 21:52, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Everything is working properly now. · Tygartl1·talk·

Protection

Hello, Billz. You semi-protected my talk page, but what about my user page? --Isis§(talk) 21:58, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! :) --Isis§(talk) 22:01, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tell Isis

My little cousin was messing around while I was using the washroom. It won't let me talk on Isis' page, + I have a feeling it has to do with this. — This unsigned comment was added by Liam.gloucester (talk • contribs) .

Isis' Page

I could view it but I couldn't add a comment explaining what had happened. — This unsigned comment was added by Liam.gloucester (talk • contribs) .

Why am I not allowed to change messages on MY talk page ? You did. AND : Can I erase them ? — This unsigned comment was added by Liam.gloucester (talk • contribs) .

Country alias templates

The country alias templates are used as part of the {{Flagicon}} template. They come in two parts. The first (country alias) is the name of the country. The section of the template name after "Country alias" is what Flagicon is looking for (Flagicon|Some country looks for "Country alias Some county"). Flagicon takes the name it finds there and uses it to find the template "Country flag alias" for that country (in the example: "Country flag alias Some country") which is the second part of the template. This part holds the name of the correct flag image on commons to be shown when using Flagicon. The first part is used because it is mainly a redirect to the flag alias. Multiple country aliases can exist all linking to the same flag alias.

For most countries, neither of these are actually needed. I rewrote the flagicon template to accept a default flag name based on the name given to it (eg. Flagicon|England uses Image:map of England.svg) but certain countries have special flag requirements: (The) Netherlands, (The) United Arab Emirates, for example. Also, the templates eventually will show up on most wanted list if they are used often enough (United States, United Kingdom, etc) so it is best to just create them (plus creating them makes it possible to shortcut them to USA and UK as well). -- Creol(talk) 09:24, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I tried

I tried to make an archive using the permanent link, followed the directions, and now it is gone. What should I do ? — This unsigned comment was added by Liam.gloucester (talk • contribs) .

Liam warning

You may want to look at his post on Archer's page and reconsider that warning. He states he is trying to archive his talk page. While he is not having a good go at doing that, the warning may be a bit much if he is honestly just trying to archive as he was told to do.-- Creol(talk) 15:07, 22 June 2007 (UTC) (and he beat me to this post by a few seconds.. )[reply]
