Welcome to Simple English Wikipedia

Hi, ChristianMan16, welcome to Simple English Wikipedia! Thank you for your changes. If you need help, check out the Help section of Wikipedia, or leave a message on my talk page. Whenever leaving messages on talk pages, please remember to sign your name by typing four 'tildes' (like this: ~~~~); doing this makes your name and the date show up. Also, it helps if you write something in the box that says 'edit summary' whenever you change an article. Below are some useful links to make your time here simpler. Happy editing! Thank you for experimenting with the page User talk:JetLover on Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it is now gone. Please use the sandbox if you want to do any more tests, and see the welcome page if you want to learn about helping Simple English Wikipedia. Razorflame 04:35, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry. I will not adopt you. Not after what you did on en. JetLover Bam! 00:36, 3 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Signature

Your signature contains an image. This is not allowed under Wikipedia:Signatures. Please change it. Thank you. --Bärliner 12:03, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for getting rid of the image, but the length is still a problem under WP:SIG#Length. I think two blocks of colour would help distinguish between your user and talk pages too, or three if you wanted to include a link to contributions.--Bärliner 19:45, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'm afraid there's another problem with your signature - the link is the the talk page of User:Monnitewars. The link to your talk page must go to this account, not another one. Thanks, Archer7 - talk 20:42, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summary

Please remember to add edit summaries to edits that you make. It helps us identify what exactly you fixed. Thanks Razorflame 21:14, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed wikiproject pages in non-user space page

Currently, proposed wiki-projects need to be accepted by the genearl population before they are allowed to cause changed to other namespaces. This primarily deals with tagging talk pages with the wiki-project info and creation of templates regarding the wikiproject.

The main cause for this is users who start a project but give up shortly after because they get no other editors interested enough to both with it. We just has too small of a project in terms of editors that it is hard to get a group that is dedicated to a certain theme. Because of this, all wikiprojects need to be kept entirely in the user/user talk space until it is proven that it isn't just a passing fancy. Creating lists of appropriate article in your userspace is preferred to tagging article talk pages as being of interest to the wikiproject until such time as it can be shown there is enough regular support for the project.

Currently there is only one project that is even close to gaining the support needed for a full wiki-project and that one took five admins to gain the support and even it is still struggling to petition for full status. While I personally can support the Pro-wrestling project (check who created many of the articles that do exist on the topic or at least the main contributors - I am mainly WWE smark some with WCW, TNA and RoH history, but given the RoH matches and promos between Punk and Raven I can't say how much they are wasting him as a face and not a heel and giving his gimmick to MVP: CM Punk is so much better than you.), the overall contributions to the subject are only a couple of editors and this just isn't enough to support a full wikiproject.-- Creol(talk) 09:11, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Project notifications on talk pages should not be used until a project has been officially accepted by the community and moved to the Wikipedia mainspace. As such, I will be deleting Template:Pro-wrestling. Please see Wikipedia:WikiProject for more information about WikiProjects on Simple English Wikipedia. Thank you. · Tygrrr... 17:26, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, it was added before yesterday; it was added 2 1/2 days ago, if you want to be truly accurate :-P At any rate, you are newly active again so you are likely not aware that we have been discussing what to do with WikiProjects for a very long time. Project templates have been routinely deleted in the past after numerous RfDs. Most recently it was mentioned at Wikipedia:Simple talk#WikiProjects again but that is far from the first time we've discussed this issue. It was finally added to the WikiProject page after the community has said time and time again that we don't want them added until the project is "official", so to speak. I hope that helps you understand. Thanks. · Tygrrr... 19:04, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Barnstar-pro-wrestling.png

I have deleted Image:Barnstar-pro-wrestling.png because all images used in Simple English Wikipedia should be uploaded to Commons (read more here). This has an effect on Template:The Professional Wrestling Star. If you upload the image to Commons, it will be used by Template:The Professional Wrestling Star automatically. - Huji reply 15:42, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My talk page

Please only post messages to my talk page that are necessary. The last message you posted wasn't necessary, seeing as I've already read your response at Huji's talk page. Thanks Razorflame 23:31, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Note

If I were you, I would let other users handle this situation with Benniguy. Thanks for trying to help, but I would suggest you step back and let other editors handle the situation. Thanks Razorflame 23:41, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Encopypaste

Articles like Royal Rumble (2008) or WWE Raw which are simply copied from English Wikipedia, without simplification, may be deleted soon. Please consider simplifying the article. - Huji reply 00:01, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What kind of help? - Huji reply 21:33, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
All of the Wikipedia users have real lives. If none of them (including you) finds some time to simplify that article (or rewrite it) it will get deleted soon. - Huji reply 22:08, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your signature, again

This is the third or fourth time that you are being told about your signature. Please reduce it to a normal size. It is causing problems with layout and obscuring other posts.--Bärliner 11:15, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your signature

Please reduce your signature to normal size, and reduce the code so it's no more than three lines, see WP:SIG. Here's a suggeston:

Request

Please change the background color of your talk page. It's hard to read. Monobi (talk) 01:03, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why do you think I made the text white?-- ChristianMan16 02:46, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
But you have not made all of the text readable. Therefore it is still hard to read. As a part of this community why deny some members of this community the ability to read your page?--Bärliner 09:50, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
What text is hard to read?-- ChristianMan16 19:10, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
All of it. Monobi (talk) 21:46, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I'll work on it, give me a couple of days.-- ChristianMan16 22:43, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
This better?-- ChristianMan16 23:09, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. Oysterguitarist 23:09, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Apart from the font being really hard to read, at least you can see the text without it straining your eyes. Majorly (talk) 23:10, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, better. Monobi (talk) 23:56, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Edit Summaries

Make sure you add an edit summary when you make an edit so others know what you've been doing. Terry (talk) - (changes)- 19:56, 3 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi!

Thanks for welcoming me! I am new to En Wikipedia, and I will enjoy helping out here too! LB22 (talk) 19:39, 4 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your signature

I feel it is too large. According to WP:SIG, <big> tags are not allowed. While your signature does not employ them, it is still big. I'd suggest you change it. Thanks. JetLover Bam! 01:06, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Simple

Thank you for changing Wikipedia. We welcome all changes, but we can only have changes that are in simple english, and your new changes to World Wrestling Entertainment were too complex. Please see How to write Simple English articles so you can write simpler in the future. Thank you. SwirlBoy39 (talk) 01:20, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Signature

It does look like your old one? What did your old one look like? --*JasPerTheKid (talk) 10:16, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppets

Warning You obviously know what a sock-puppet is, you created enough of them at ENWP to get a ban. You do not know how to use the sock-puppet template, and I therefore suggest that you do not try placing it anywhere without checking with an experienced user first. --Bärliner 19:31, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Creating IP Userpages

Hi. I've noticed that you've been creating Userpages for IP addresses and then redirecting them to the IP's talk page. No offense, but I think that this is not a good idea. It uses up resources that could otherwise be used on other things, like making articles and the such. I'm not saying that warning users is a bad thing, in fact it is a good thing; it's just that I kinda wish that you could not create redirects like that. Razorflame 20:33, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The page in question has been deleted. Razorflame is right, please don't do this again. Thank you! · Tygrrr... 20:38, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notability

In the currywurst RfD debate you said "It has to be notable on a World scale". By this standard we would get rid of most song related articles as well as town related articles. --Bärliner 12:10, 9 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
