You can create a practice-type page called "sandbox". For a private one, create a new page titled "User talk:Laycockprimary/whatever". That gives you a place off the main encyclopedia. Pages on the encyclopedia get deleted if they do not meet our basic requirents. You can find out more by going to our main page and looking at some of the links there.
